This pattern is meant to be worn as an oversized & cozy outerwear piece - as you would wear a poncho.

Two finished length options are given for this pattern. Standard “hip length” and a longer “tunic” length

This knit begins with a herringbone stitch collar as either a fitted turtleneck or as a looser cowl.*

Directions are provided for both styles.

Notions and Gauge info:

Gauge ( 20-21 sts and 17-18 rows per 4” in herringbone stitch)

Gauge ( 16 sts / 20 rows per 4” in slip stitch stockinette - body of pullover)

Size 11 needle (or size needed to make gauge) NOTE: due to the tightness of herringbone stitch, do not size down on needle before body of pullover

Size 13 needle (optional) for cast on & herringbone beginning section especially for 3-4 size to be loose enough to comfortably fit over the head

double pointed needles or 24+ length circular needle to do magic loop for 3-4 size, plus 16” or 24” for body

16” circular needle for 5-6, 7-8 and 9-10 sizes and 24” circular for body

Beginning of round stitch marker plus 4 additional stitch markers for sleeves / body

Darning needle to weave in ends
