Mintaka is the westernmost star of the Orion’s Belt. It is a multiple star system composed by at least 6 stars. The primary one is a binary star and it is 90,000 times more luminous and 20 times more massive than the Sun.
Mintaka is a super fun project that gives a stellar result!
This cloche is very comfortable to wear because the special construction makes it slightly longer over your ears and gently curves its shape to follow naturally the shape of your head, so that a tight hem is not needed.
Mosaic colorwork adds fun to the work, so that this hat is a pure joy to knit and to wear!
This hat is started along the top semicircle, then worked as an inverse half-pi to the center front. Stitches are then picked up along the CO edge to work a thin strip without increases or decreases that adds a little volume to the piece, then the same half-pi is worked to the center back.
An unusual and very fun construction!
