Reminiscent of an evening stroll through the garden, with the hint of flowering herbs in the air, this short-sleeved top is breezy and light. A simple lace pattern adorns the front and back of the top, and a snug fit at the bust line with a loose fit at waist makes it easy to wear and style. This top can be dressed up or down, ideal for a moment of quiet after a full day with those you love, evoking the freedom of summer nights.

Notes
This loosely-fitted, sleeveless top is worked in Stocking Stitch with central lace panels on the front and back. The garment is worked from the top down flat, in pieces (front and back), to the appropriate armhole depth and then joined to work in the round to the hem. The garment sits at mid hip. Subtle A-line shaping is added to the body, and the final hem worked in 1x1 ribbing.
The armhole and neckline edges are picked up and worked as simple, short, rolled edges.
