Earlier this year I was chatting to my young friend Amy. Amy is a talented pastry chef with a love of all things chocolate who works at Mirrie Dancers Chocolatier in Shetland. She kindly offered me a room to let me attend Shetland wool week and over a lunch at her parents the idea of a chocolate inspired knitting project was born. The
Mirrie Muffler is a DK weight scarf that uses a textured working of the company logo and a colour work Cocoa Pod motif to decorate a neutral background. This produces a cosy winter warmer for your neck.

The pattern has a fixed width of approx 16” and three possible lengths
approximating at 5’6” (Short), 8’3” (Medium), 11’ (Long) blocked.

Any DK weight yarn you like will work and you will require three colours approx weights per size as follows:
Size Main Col1 Col2
Sm 185g 6g 6g
Med 275g 9g 9g
Long 365g 12g 12g

Plus extra of Col1 and Col2 if you wish to add a fringe. Quantities vary based on how thick/long a fringe you choose to add.

Since this is a scarf and not size critical, please feel free to ignore the gauge guideline and work to whatever gauge gives you the drape you like, be aware that this may adjust the yarn quatities slightly.
