This is a knitting pattern for a pair of socks that is knit cuff down on two circular needles. It is primarily a lace sock, but has a “mirror cable” running down the center front and center back of the sock. Although it’s called a “mirror cable”, the word is deceptive, as it’s made entirely by twisting stitches, and not by cabling. The lace in this sock has a nice “crinkly” feel and look to it, as there’s no round of straight knitting in between the rounds of YO’s.
This sock pattern incorporates a fairly simple lace stitch pattern which can be a nice introduction to lace if you haven’t tried it, but have been wanting to, as well as a fairly simple twist stitch pattern, so you can try that as well.
Skill Level: Intermediate - Intermediate + (assuming a good working knowledge of knitting)
The pattern was expertly test knitted by Nancy Wyman, who is known on Ravelry as nj2.
