While sneaking around Hogwarts in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Harry stumbles upon the Mirror of Erised, a large Gothic-style mirror with an interlocking golden frame (similar to a cabled motif). When Harry looks in the mirror, he sees himself with his mother and father. Later, Dumbledore tells Harry the truth about that mirror: that “it shows us nothing more or less than the deepest and most desperate desires of our hearts.”

Inspired by the mirror’s stunning golden frame, this cowl can be lengthened or shortened according to your preference. After a provisional cast on, six different ribs intertwine up the panel in a golden yarn. The cast on is then removed and joined with a three-needle bind off, completing this lovely homage to a key prop from the films.
