Mishka Scarf
This scarf can be knit in any weight, and is a beautiful showcase for brilliantly colored yarns. Although it may look like a drop stitch, the ‘ladders’ are formed by double YO’s, and they elegantly contrast with the vertical striping that the yarn provides.
The pattern includes both written and charted directions, and the two samples were knit using one skein of Seasilk (fingering), or two skeins of Taiyo (aran).
This pattern is named in honor of a tall, slender engineer friend who has a true love of natural beauty as well as straight lines.
When a skein of super-bulky leapt into my hands, I tweaked this pattern and created the Mishka Cowl. You will receive patterns for both the Cowl and Scarf with this purchase; both patterns have fully written and charted directions.
