The yarn I used was slightly thick/thin, but the pattern stitch is still fairly well defined and looks very nice. Pattern calls for #8 US needle, I used a #7. Very easy 4 row pattern stitch. I knit the sweater in the round to the underarms, instead of having a separate front and back piece, which worked well.
