Miss Fisher's Jazz Age Scarf
Inspired by 1920s Australia’s newest and most fashionable amateur detective, this lacy beaded scarf is as perfect for breezy afternoon picnics as it is for a hot night on the town. It’s the cat’s pyjamas!
Yarn: light fingering, 350 yds (I used Teresa Ruch 520 100% Tencel in Silver, but I would suggest a stiffer yarn, as Tencel tends to collapse, obscuring the stitch pattern)
Hook: 3.5 mm (size E/4 American or 9 British) or size to obtain gauge
Notions: sewing scissors; small piece of cardboard (at least 6”x 6”); waste yarn; 550 size 8/0 or larger beads (for 8/0 seed beads, this would be about 14 grams); beading needle, small crochet hook (to go through bead), or Fleegle Beader™ ; tapestry needle
Gauge: Each pattern repeat (10 rows) is 6” long x 3.5” wide, pinned as if for blocking
Dimensions: ~10’ long x 3.5” wide (20 pattern repeats, not including tassels)
