Miss June 1997 Royal Ballgowns
Designed to fit an 11 ½“ fashion doll.
MATERIALS:
Three 400 yd balls of size 20 white crochet thread
One 250 yd ball of size 1 0 white crochet thread
1 ½ yds white tulle (112” wide). Make sure you do not buy
nylon net. It is much coarser. Tulle is very fine and is what
wedding veils are made of. If tulle is 54” wide you will
need 3 yds.
Size 7 and 12 crochet hooks
Four 18” lengths of 20 gauge white covered floral wire
White floral tape
Six white tear drop pearls and 66 white 4mm pearls. See
separate materials list for tiara and necklace.
Small silk flowers. See pictures. In order to find small
enough flowers you may need to buy a large flower that
is made up of many tiny flowers.
3 small snaps
Doll stand.
GAUGE:
Please work a small swatch 15 hdc long by 6 rows. Gauge
varies from one person to another and working a swatch to
see if your gauge matches the instructions will insure that your
dress will fit the doll. If you need to use a smaller hook or a
larger hook to match the gauge below, you will also need to
do the same thing when coming across different hook sizes
throughout pattern.
#7 hook and size 1 o thread
