“Miss Price” is the last installment in the “Jane Austen Heroines” series.
It features a stockinette stitch body framed by unusual border at the bottom and pretty edging all around.
The sample is worked in a beautiful new yarn from “Shalimar Yarns” called “Paulie”, a mix of merino, camel, cashmere and silk in colour called “Columbine” out of just under 2 skeins.
The size given is pretty generous 72” wing span and 20” at the centre back. It can be adjusted easily by knitting more or less repeats of the pattern.

“Miss Price” is knitted in one piece starting with the edge first, then the stitches for the border and body are picked up and the piece is knitted sideways with series of increases and decreases to shape it.
At the end the last part of edging is knitted-on and the last few stitches are grafted together.

The pattern looks more complicated than it really is. It combines lace, twisted stitches and wrapped stitches and knitter of intermediate skill level shouldn’t have problems with it.
The instructions are written and charted.

“Miss Price” is as much fun to knit as it is to wear !
