Misti Cables and Lace
A provisional cast-on is used in this pattern to enable you to join it in the round using live stitches to achieve a more ‘seamless’ join. You may choose to use a regular cast-on and leave it flat as a scarf or join with a more traditional seam.
The ribbed cable on the edges is reversible, giving the illusion of a reversible cowl.
If you are not as tight a knitter as I evidently am, you may need to use a size 7 needle to get gauge. Take a few minutes to check gauge…it will spare you frustration in the long run!
If you prefer a shorter cowl, you can work fewer repeats of the pattern, and join at the desired length.
Enjoy!
