Mitered Diamond Bag
Errata available:
interweave.com
This bag is worked modularly, one mitered diamond at a time. By using a combination of cast-on stitches and stitches picked up along the sides of existing diamonds, the bag is constructed with only two small seams. If using stash yarn, each square uses roughly an half ounce of yarn.
The bag shown in the magazine (at the top) uses Cascade 220 in 4 colors for the body and black for the handles. The last bag shown uses 7 colors of Manos Del Uraguay which gives a sharper edge to the shape of the bag.
