Named after the Japanese word “Mitsuami,” meaning “braid,” these socks are entirely rib-based, with the fabric flowing seamlessly from the leg through the instep and into the heel for a snug fit.
These socks are worked cuff-down with gussets, a heel turn, and a heel flap, and include three toe options: Standard Wedge Toe, Easy Toe (no grafting), and Tabi-toe. Video tutorial links are included. The cable patterns are charted only.

Finished Measurements (Unstretched):

• Foot circumference: 17.5 (18.5) cm / 7 (7½)”
• Leg circumference: 17 cm / 6¾”
• Foot and leg length: Knit to desired length.
• Stitch count in the foot: 60 (64) sts

Recommended ease: approx. 5 cm/2“ of negative ease at foot circumference, 1.5 cm/¾” of negative ease at sock sole length. The sample is shown in size 1 for a 22.5 cm foot circumference

Note: Choose the needle size that gives you the suggested gauge. The sample used 2.1 mm for the smaller needle and 2.25 mm for the larger needle.

三つ編みのようなケーブル模様が、レッグに映える靴下です。全体はリブ編みをベースに構成され、リブがレッグからインステップ(足の甲)、かかとへとシームレスに流れ、すっきりとフィットする履き心地に仕上がります。
編み方は履き口から編み始め、かかとはヒールフラップ＋ガセットタイプ。つま先は、定番のつま先、メリヤスはぎいらずの簡単なつま先、足袋型のつま先の3種類から選べます。動画解説リンク付き。
