Mittens from Central Ostrobothnia
This is a pattern for mittens from Central Ostrobothnia (Keski-Pohjanmaa) in Finland.
The size may be varied by using a different yarn or needle size.
The pattern is written for two colours of yarn. I recommend “traditional” colour combinations such as white + black or white + blue. I have suggested two types of yarn that I personally like.
You need 45 grams white and 55 grams of the second colour.
Note: After making my first pair of mittens with this pattern, I corrected the instructions for rows 1-7. The cuffs in the blue/white mittens are incorrect, and are rolling. If you follow the pattern to the letter, the cuffs will look differently and will not roll - as seen in the grey/white mittens.
