C O N S T R U C T I O N
Miu is worked seamlessly from the bottom up. After you’ve worked the body to the underarms, you will set it aside and work the sleeves. Then the body is joined with the sleeves and worked in the round using decreases to shape the yoke.
The shirt yoke is worked perpendicular to the body and joined to the front and back by knitting the stitches of the yoke together with the body stitches.

There are two ways to work the lower body shell pattern.

Version 1
A different color is used for each shell. You will attach and cut the yarn for every shell you work, which will result in more complex looking colorwork and quite a few ends to weave in. This method was used for the red sample.

Version 2
The same color is used for each tier of shells. This means that you will in fact be working stripes, shaped by short rows. Using this
method, there will be less ends to weave in after finishing the colorwork. The grey sample shows the result of using this method.
