This Fair Isle Hat begins with an I-cord cast on and Mosaic button band and then changes to traditional fair isle. It uses a 3 row wave background in shades of gray. Following tradition, I did not repeat a pattern but made a small change in a previously used pattern by reversing the direction of the 4 row peerie. The designs are based on traditional patterns found in The Art of Fair Isle Knitting History, Technique, Color & Patterns by Ann Feitelson This was my final Fair Isle project for the TKGA Master Hand Knitter program. I passed so to celebrate I am sharing the pattern with you.
