What better way to celebrate a new wee bairn than to wrap them in their own tartan-like blanket? Based on a fourth season plot element, the Clan MacKenzie tartan inspired the color choices, though they’ve been brightened for the modern nursery.

The blanket is formed of easy knit and purl stitches, where horizontal color changes and vertical textures combine to give the overall impression of a plaid.

A sumptuous but easy care hand-dyed yarn is used here in a superwash base, in the hopes that Mo Chridhe becomes a favourite and needs regular laundering.

If your beloved bairn is not so wee, instructions are also given for a throw size.
