MOATFIELD
A memorable and gently rippling rib stitch creates these stretchy, cosy mitts. Two versions are included in the pattern: a short hand-warmer
style and a longer mitt that can be worn full length to keep fingers warm then folded back on itself when hands are busy.

Note: For best fit, mitts are worn with 10% negative ease

Daughter of a Shepherd Hebridean & Zwartbles DK (DK / light worsted weight; 75% Hebridean wool, 25% Zwartbles wool; 233m / 255yds per 100g skein) x 1 skein for each size

TOOLS
• 3.25mm (UK 10 / US 3) knitting needles suitable for working small circumferences in the round
• 3 stitch markers
• Smooth scrap yarn
• Tapestry needle

TENSION
24 sts and 30 rounds to 10cm / 4” over pattern on 3.25mm needles after blocking.
Take time to check your tension and adjust the needle size accordingly to ensure an accurate finish.

PATTERN NOTES
• Moatfield are worked in the round from the cuff upward with a gusset thumb. Left and right mitts are alike.
