Mock Dip Dye Cardi
The cardigan is a simple edge to edge v-neck set in sleeve garment. However to achieve the mock dip dyed effect 4 shades of yarn are used and the yarn has been used double throughout to gradually blend from the dark blue through to the silver grey colour.
The body of the garment is knitted in one piece along with the moss/seed stitch borders to ensure the colours grade throughout the garment. Each colour is knitted for a different number of rows to ensure that the colour changes come at different sides of the garment so that yarn ends are sew in on both ends of the moss/seed stitch border, not always on the same side. The colour changes in the sleeve head have also been matched with the colour changes in the armhole.
