The Mohair Mobile Shawl was inspired by the architectural sculptures of Alexander Calder. Choose 200g of fingering weight yarn for the main color. The main color acts as the frame or anchor of the palette. Add five contrasting colors of lace weight mohair silk, 25g each color, like West Wool Glowhair. The mohair colorpops float throughout the fabric with ethereal stripes and fluffy marled sections. Sometimes mohair is used on its own and other times one strand of mohair is held together with the fingering weight main color.

The modular shawl begins in the center with a fun I-cord and short row detail. Stitches are picked up for tiny bobble stripes and mohair marled ridges. Then, the shawl decreases toward the top center with marled garter stitch and cables. A final border is knitted sideways with short rows, cables, and mohair mesh sections. Each section includes step by-step video tutorials demonstrating all of the techniques to knit this wearable work of art.
