Mohair Scrunchie
The Mohair Scrunchie is a quick project making it ideal for beginners. It uses very little yarn so it’s perfect for using up that scrap yarn. They make excellent gifts or craft fair items. They are a useful hair accessory and can double up as a wrist accessory.
The pattern uses Aran/Worsted weight mohair but you could double strand a lighter mohair. Gauge is not critical. Work half double crochets tightly enough to fully cover the hair tie without stretching the elastic.
The pattern includes written instructions and multiple video tutorials of the techniques involved so you can’t go wrong and you don’t need to look elsewhere for explanations; top tips for working with mohair, colour changing guidance and finishing tips.
Finished size: approximately 12cm diameter
