This Mondrian-inspired triangle shawl is great TV crocheting as it only uses one stitch, extended half double crochet, for the whole pattern. What makes it interesting is the interplay of geometric shapes with the pop of a contrasting color outline. Crocheted in merino wool, fingering weight yarn, it is light-weight yet warm… perfect over a sixties-style mini-dress for the mod look!

The sample was crocheted in Koigu KPM but any fingering weight yarn will work. Since gauge isn’t critical for this shawl, really any yarn could be used… just be aware that substituting a different weight yarn, will result in a different size shawl.

One skein each of six different colors of Koigu KPM were used to create the sample. I used a light to dark scheme but any color palette would work. Just make sure the outline color provides good contrast to the other colors.
