BRIGHT AND warm, this Fair Isle
jumper by Carol Meldrum is knitted
from edge to edge, starting at the
right-hand sleeve. The front and back
panels are split for the neck opening,
then rejoined to complete the garment.
“I recommend using extra-long
circular needles to work the body, to
accommodate the number of stitches,”
says Carol. She has used seven shades of
Jamieson & Smith’s classic 2ply Jumper
Weight Shetland wool.
