Moody Blues Duo: Bolero
by Lily M. Chin
NOTE: This design originally appeared in Knitter’s 61, Winter 2000, along with a companion camisole design in lighter weight yarn.
Knit from cuff to cuff and shaped with short rows, this 3/4 length sleeve bolero with cable detailing is described as an advanced pattern.
- Shown in 4 sizes ranging from 53.5-57 inches (136-145cm) from cuff to cuff. Chest measurement is not given but the matching camisole is sized for a 32-38 inch (81-96.5cm) finished bust with a very close fit (no ease, or slight negative ease).
- A schematic pictures and written instructions detail the increases and decreases and short rows necessary to shape this knit in one piece sweater. Cables are graphed with a glossary.
- Needles can be straight or circular as you prefer. You will also need stitch markers, holders, a darning needle and a cable needle if you use one.
