CONSTRUCTION
This vest is worked bottom-up in pieces and seamed together at sides with mattress stitch and joined at shoulders with a Three-Needle Bind-Off. Shoulder shaping is done only on the back piece. This means that the fronts are worked longer than the back pieces in the upper body and the top front shoulder will be pulled up and over to the back when joined and worn. The neckline is shaped with a Sloped Bias Bind-Off and the vest is finished with Double-Knit Bands. A detailed video tutorial link has been provided in the pattern for working the button bands.

CC1 and CC2: 70 (80, 85, 95, 100) (105, 110, 120, 125) yds / 64 (73, 78, 87, 92) (96, 100, 110, 114) m each.
CC3: 65 (70, 75, 80, 85) (90, 95, 100, 105) yds / 60 (64, 68, 73, 78) (82, 87, 92, 96) m.

Needles:
US 3 / 3.25 mm circular needle, 32” / 80 cm length (main needle) and one spare needle of any length (for TNBO).
US 2 / 2.75 mm circular needle, 16” / 40 cm and 24” / 60 cm length (bands and armhole ribbing).
US 5 / 3.75 mm circular needle, any length for TNBO at shoulders.

Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.

Notions: 5 removable stitch markers (to show button placement), waste yarn, tapestry needle, 5 buttons (1” / 2.5 cm in diameter).

GAUGE
27 sts & 38 rows = 4” / 10 cm over Stockinette Stitch worked flat using main needle, after blocking.
