DESCRIPTION

MOONLESS is a cool color-blocked day dream of a sweater, designed for play in both the knitting and the wearing. With deep armholes and seamless set-in sleeves, Moonless features a boxy, sporty silhouette that is equally well-matched with your favorite slacks or under a cozy jumpsuit. The pattern includes 9 sizes, options for cropped or full length, options for a scoop neck or crew neck, and yarn requirements and instructions for making a 1- or 2-color version.

SIZING

All of my garment patterns are #sizeinclusive to fit up to at least a 60”/150cm full bust/chest circumference.

FINISHED BUST/CHEST CIRCUMFERENCE:
In inches: (36, 40, 44) [48, 52, 56] {60, 64, 68}
In centimeters: (90, 100, 110) [120, 130, 140] {150, 160, 170}

To choose your size, measure the circumference of your torso around the fullest part of your chest and choose a size that fits with 4-6”/10-15cm of positive ease.

In the photos, Tuck is wearing a size 4 (48”/120cm) with 4”/10cm of positive ease at the chest and 2.5”/6.5cm at the bicep.

GAUGE, NEEDLES, NOTIONS

Gauge: 22 sts and 32 rows over 4”/10cm in stockinette after blocking
Recommended needles:
Main needles: US 4 (3.5mm) 32”/80cm circular
Smaller needles for ribbing: US 2.5 (3 mm) 32”/80cm circular
Notions: stitch markers, darning needle, one set of spare circular needles several sizes smaller than main needles

YARN

This sweater was designed in Modus Operandi Fibers merino fingering (434 yards/396 meters/115g), a fingering weight 100% nonsuperwash merino with an incredibly soft and bouncy hand and a tight ply.

YARN REQUIREMENTS:
 
2-Color crop:
2 YARNS (same amount for each): (555, 605, 650) [700, 750, 805] {855, 905, 975} yards / (505, 555, 595) [640, 685, 735] {780, 830, 890} meters
 
2-Color full length:
2 YARNS (same amount for each): (710, 775, 835) [905, 965, 1035] {1105, 1175, 1265} yards / (650, 710, 765) [830, 880, 945] {1010, 1075, 1155} meters
 
1-Color crop:
SINGLE YARN: (1110, 1210, 1300) [1400, 1500, 1610] {1710, 1810, 1950} yards / (1010, 1110, 1190) [1280, 1370, 1470] {1560, 1660, 1780} meters
 
1-Color full length:
SINGLE YARN: (1420, 1550, 1670) [1810, 1930, 2070] {2210, 2350, 2530} yards / (1300, 1420, 1530) [1660, 1760, 1890] {2020, 2150, 2310} meters
