Welcome to Interpretations, Volume 10! We are grateful and proud to present the 10th collaboration between Joji Locatelli and Veera Välimäki. We hope that you will find joy in knitting these patterns as much as we did in creating them.

Another adventure awaits! I’m following your footsteps, going up and up, climbing higher and higher. The path is steep and I can feel my breathing. Suddenly I glimpse through the trees and see: Look at that mountain! It is magnificent!

Moor shawl is worked in easy sequence of colors and garter stitch. You will repeat the same rows, one color after the other and then mirror it all for the right wing! Everything is brought together with beautiful i-cord edging around it all.

This shawl is a wonderful design for using up all those single fingering weight skeins you most likely already have in your stash. They can be varied in bases and in colors. I can picture my next Moor being very summery with bright colors and happy beach memories.

YARN: 4 skeins of Lauha by Aara Yarn, one skein each 4 colors. Colorway Nurmirölli as MC (beige), Metsälauha as CC1 (pink), Kataja as CC2 (green), and Dioriitti as CC3 (light grey). Or 1520 yds (1400 m) of fingering weight yarn; approx. 380 yds (350 m) of each color.
NEEDLES: US 6 (4 mm) needles. If using circulars choose 32” (80 cm) long or longer.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Wingspan: 84” (214 cm). Depth at center spine: 27.5” (70 cm).

20 sts and 40 rows = 4” 10 cm in garter stitch, after blocking.
