Morning Mist
This design is part of my book New Ways with Crochet.
The book explores fresh stitch ideas and ways to adapt and combine them for projects of all kinds, from garments to blankets.
It is divided into five themed chapters:
- Small stitches and gentle textures
- New ways to play with double crochet
- A fresh look at working into the back loop
- An innovative technique for textured crochet
- And my signature crochet cables
Each chapter ends with a shawl that shows the stitches in use. The Morning Mist shawl comes from Chapter 5: crochet cables.
CONSTRUCTION
The Morning Mist shawl is worked from one side corner to the opposite side, with increases placed along the wingspan, making it easily adjustable by working fewer or more row pattern repeats.
The design alternates between three stitch patterns: single crochet ribbing, eyelets, and gentle, thin cables.
