Morynnau means sea billow or breaker in Welsh and this scarf uses the delightfully light and drapey Soya yarn from Interlacements to create rippling billows. It is a lace weight 100% soy yarn and creates a scarf that is perfect for the summer heat.

Each beaded insert has 22 beaded stitches, there are 14 beaded inserts if knit until 6 feet long. When choosing beads, choose beads that equal about ½ inch tall. So one bead an ½ an inch tall or 3 beads that when stacked equal ½ tall. If you choose beads that are ½ an inch tall you will need 308. If you choose size 6/0 beads, 3 beads will equal about ½ inch tall and you will need 924. I also chose to add a tiny mermaid charm on the bind off row.

You may purchase kits including the wonderful yarn and beads from Earthfaire.com

The tiny mermaid charm is from EvelynMaeCreations whose shop may be found on Etsy.
