I’ve wanted to make handwarmers for my Maine cousins for years, and when I had this idea, it seemed like the perfect time to finally do it. Like most Mainers, my cousins are strong, resilient, resourceful women, and I wanted them to have something that reflected that, not something lacy and delicate. These handwarmers are created with a mosaic design, making them thick and warm, and they’re knit flat, so they’re quick and easy to knit. You slipstitch the seam with a crochet hook when they’re finished, another quick touch.
NOTE: This pattern includes two patterns for two different handwarmers, The Emily, and The Ida. The Emily is the Purple pair, and the Ida is the Teal pair. The Teal pair is a bit bigger than the Purple pair, in case you’re looking for different sizes.
