I have been bitten by the jamming and canning bug this year, in a most delightful way. In accordance with this new obsession, Mason jars are EVERYWHERE in my house, and we’re using them for more and more tasks - storage, eating, and drinking. While sipping coffee from my wide-mouth pint jar the other day, I thought, why not design a cozy for this? It’d be a fabulous holiday gift for all the crafty folk in our lives.

Yarn - Approximately 50 yards/46 meters worsted-weight yarn, split between two colors as follows. Color A: 30 yards/27 meters. Color B: 20 yards/18 meters. Shown in Lanaloft Worsted (100% wool; 160 yards/146 meters per 3.5 ounce/100 gram ball), colorways Deep Violet (purple), Southern Breeze (minty green) and Cheery Cherry (pink).
Gauge – 18 stitches = 4”/10 cm in stockinette stitch in the round.
Needles - US #6/4 mm (or size to get gauge) for knitting a small item in the round (either double points, two circulars, or one long circular for magic loop).
Notions - Tapestry needle.
Skill level - Advanced beginner (knitting in the round, slipping stitches).
Size/Finished measurements – One size fits most pint-sized Mason jars. Approximately 9.5”/24 cm in diameter, 4.5”/11 cm tall.
