Moss Stitch Square Cloth
Moss Stitch Square Cloth is a simple knitted washcloth with a clean square shape and a subtle structured surface. The design is made for beginners and only requires basic knitting skills, including casting on, knitting, purling, and casting off. The result is a practical cloth with a neat border and a softly textured centre.
The cloth is knitted flat from edge to edge. It begins with a few rows of garter stitch, followed by a repeating knit and purl pattern framed by knitted borders at each side. The first stitch is slipped on every row to create a more even edge, giving the finished cloth a tidy look without adding complicated techniques.
The size can easily be adjusted by adding or removing stitches, as long as the stitch count is changed by an even number. The pattern can also be knitted longer or shorter depending on preference and the amount of yarn available. One ball is usually enough for one cloth, but two balls are recommended if you want extra flexibility or a second cloth in the same colour.

Design details
Textured Cloth is defined by its simple construction and practical stitch pattern. The garter stitch border helps the cloth keep its shape, while the knit and purl texture gives the centre more structure. The slipped stitch edge creates a cleaner finish, making the cloth look neat even though the pattern is suitable for beginners.
