Mother of Motors
Mother of Motors Shawl my first magazine pattern. Designed for Nomadic Knits NKI7 on Why Knot Fibers Spunky published during the COVID-19 pandemic. This collaboration was so much fun with creative creators.
Mother of Motors is a homage to Detroit’s automotive industry and the Pontchartrain Hotel, which in 1908 hosted a meeting between the greatest pioneers of the automobile: Henry Ford, Billy Durant, Benjamin Briscoe, and R.E. Olds (learn so much more in issue seven!). A beautiful tribute piece, the Mother of Motors Shawl will stand out as a work of art.
