Mountain Calling
A crisp border of wide-wale ribbing and chainlink cables ring the hemline of this classic turtleneck, the perfect hiking sweater for all your fall adventures. Hudson Worsted’s blend of yak and merino makes for a soft, effortless, almost sweatshirt-like fabric once blocked, making this an easy garment to wear and a pleasurable one to knit. A small amount of compound shaping in the raglan yoke allows for a fitted sleeve with just enough ease at the bust, while gentle A-line shaping out to the hem produces a flattering, casual silhouette. The bulk of the sweater is worked in stockinette (including all of the shaping), leaving the rib and cable section at the hemline to be relatively straightforward.
Mountain Calling was designed as part of LoveCrafts’ “Idle Wanderer” Collection, and is available from Lovecrafts.com using the link above.
