I found an old tattered notebook in an antique store in North Carolina. The book claimed this “receipt” was 100 years old, but I have no idea how old the book is. There was no date to be found anywhere on it, but there were a lot of sweet notes from women who had passed the book around. I have simplified the pattern, changed the decreases, and given you much bigger needle to use. I hope you enjoy making it as much as I did.

The larger shawl is made with the Alpaca Prime and is 46 inches from center back to point, and 73 inches across the top. The smaller is made from Bearfoot and is 16 inches from center back to point and 56 inches across the top.
