The Mountain Ridge Pillow is a beautiful modern accent piece that is an easy addition to almost any house. Inspired by the skies over California mountains, this design combines vertical stripes, stockinette, and tiny cables to recreate the outline of a mountain ridge.

The pillow cover is knit sideways in one piece, then seamed. The body of the pattern is a simple repeat consisting of slipped stitches and classic ribbing. A panel of stockinette travels along this ribbed canvas. The borders between the two stitch patterns are shaped with small cables that are slipped on the wrong side for a more delicate look. Stitch patterns are both charted and written.
