Sizes: Unisex hat small (medium, large, x-large, xx-large) – approximately 16 (17¼, 18½, 20, 21¼)” circumference, unstretched. Sample hat shown in size medium.

Materials:
• 1 skein Viking Fiber Co. Stockholm Sock (80% Superwash Merino, 20% Nylon; 100g; 400yds) main color (MC), 1 mini skein Viking Fiber Co. Stockholm Sock (80% Superwash Merino, 20% Nylon; 20g; 80yds) contrast color 1 (CC1), and 1 mini skein Viking Fiber Co. Stockholm Sock (80% Superwash Merino, 20% Nylon; 20g; 80yds) contrast color 2 (CC2).
Sample shown in Viking Fiber Co. Stockholm Sock Warm Palette – Purpleheart (MC), Mission Fig (CC1), and Morning Sun (CC2).
• Size US2 (2.75mm) 16” circular needles (or size required for gauge)
• Size US3 (3.25mm) 16” circular needles (or one size bigger than smaller needles) – optional. See note.
• Size US2 (2.75mm) double point needles (or size required for gauge)
• Stitch marker
• Tapestry needle

Note: Many people knit at a tighter gauge when working stranded colorwork. If you are one of those people, go up one needle size for the colorwork section to maintain a more consistent gauge.

Gauge: 30 sts and 36 rows = 4” in Stockinette stitch

Note: Additional “in between” sizes can be achieved by working at 7 or 8 sts/inch rather than the recommended 7½ sts/inch.
