Mrs. Jennings would be hard pressed to have less in common with Mrs. Dashwood of Sense and Sensibility. Both are widows with daughters, but unlike Mrs. Dashwood, Mrs. Jennings is financially secure, and both of her girls are well married. In Devonshire to visit her daughter, Mrs. Jennings would surely have traded silk stockings for the warmth of wool. The quill of the feather design can be lengthened or shortened for personal taste.
