50-60 55-65, 60-70, 65-75, 70-80 grams DK weight yarn; light color high twist yarn recommended for cable visibility: 2Ovejas Fiber CVM Romeldale/Border Leicester wool DK yarn 250 yds/4 oz (229 m/113g)
U.S. 7 (4.5 mm) 16”/40cm circular needle (or size needed to obtain gauge), with either a second 16” circular for smaller-circumference knitting at the crown or a set of double pointed needles
U.S. 6 (4 mm) 16”/40cm circular needle (or one size down from needles that give gauge)
Optional crochet hook in smaller needle diameter for CO
