This year I dedicated myself to creating the mushroom-shaped brooch. After various experiments, I came to create two types of mushrooms: chanterelle and poisonous mushrooms.

One thing I really like about these fall treasures is that you can use the leftover yarn that builds up over the years. Often you don’t need a lot of yarn to create, for example, a leaf or an acorn and, if we don’t let ourselves be influenced by the choice of colors, we can create little magic to always carry with us on sweaters and jackets.
If you don’t have any leftovers to use or if you want to use the same colors used in the pattern, obviously you will find all the specifications on yarns and colors.

↟ Measurements:
Amanita Muscaria: length about 6 cm / 2,3 inches
width at the largest point 4,5 cm / 1,7 inches
Chanterelle: length about 4 cm / 1,5 inches
width at the largest point 3.5 cm / 1,3 inches

↟ Materials:
Yarns: Catona Scheepies (100% mercerized cotton, 25 g, 62,5 mt)
Colors 505 and 503 for the stems;
Colors 388 and 130 for the amanita
Colors 249, 504, and 383 for the chanterelle

This yarn is only an indication if you want to use something new and in precise colors, however, for this pattern, you can also use leftover yarns from other projects, the important thing is that they are sport or fingering weight.
