A fabulously colourful doormat with an easy fringe detail. Part of the ‘My Colourful’ range of Tunisian Crochet Patterns. Use strong cottons for a sturdy and durable doormat in a high traffic area, or use soft cottons for a supple and squishy bathmat.

The doormat is worked sideways so the stripes run the length of the mat, created by a simple 5 row-repeating pattern. The fast colour changes are emphasised by the Tunisian Simple Stitch, resulting in an appearance that looks like the doormat has been woven.

There are NO ENDS TO WEAVE IN!!! The ends you create when you begin and end your work, and when you change colour aren’t woven in: they are used to create the fringe.
