I’m publishing this now to send a little positivity out into the world. Dan is going through some health issues right now, and I needed something bright and fun to hold onto. We so appreciate everyones support.

My Favourite Blanket is a very special design that I created for a series that ran on our Bakery Bears YouTube channel, throughout 2023.

Filmed over 12 episodes, I guided viewers through the dyeing process to create 24 bespoke colourways. These colourways were inspired by some of my favourite flowering plants.

I then took these yarns, and knit them into this beautiful blanket.

Knitters were invited to join me in knitting their own My Favourite Blanket, either dyeing the yarn like I did or using stash yarns.

Blanket Details

The blanket is knitted using fingering weight yarn, held double. It is worked in a corner to corner construction, and has some feature eyelets within the centre section.

The pattern is written in 12 sections, with different yarns used for each section. You can choose to follow my instructions for this, or use the pattern as a template and go your own way with the yarn choices.

The pattern contains links to the 12 video shows that contained the tutorials for the yarn dyeing and the knitting.
