My Next Hat Canvas
Claire of Autumn and Indigo and I are hosting a Make Along for projects featuring embroidery. To get the details and join the fun, hop on over to the Bloom Handmade Ravelry forum at https://www.ravelry.com/discuss/bloom-handmade/3988287/1-25.

This simple toque is elevated to a chic accessory by the addition of a band of beautiful embroidery. ”Anchor stitches” are first applied to the brim of the hat and then interlocking circles are added to create an eye-catching detail.
Yarn
Autumn and Indigo Classic Worsted
100% wool
Worsted weight
218 yards (199 meters) per 100 gram skein
Two contrasting skeins:
For the darker hat
~70g of MC (Dusk) to make the hat
~5g of CC (Fog) for the embroidery
For the lighter hat
~70g of MC (Fog) to make the hat
~5g of CC (Dusk) for the embroidery
Notes on Yarn Selection
If you are going to incorporate embroidery into your hat, I encourage you to choose a yarn with a high twist, which will be resistant to the friction caused by the additional stitching. Also, I recommend a solid or semi-solid, as the embroidery may be lost in a variegated yarn.
