Intermediate Pattern, Written in English, US terms

An original pattern by Fat Lady Crochet. Please note this is a crochet pattern, not the finished physical item.

This easy crochet pattern is written in US terms and is designed for crocheters with a solid understanding of simple crochet, and who don’t mind a little bit of sewing. Lots of photos are included to help you along the way.

You will need:
• 200 grams size 4 (worsted weight) yarn in Ultra Blue
• 100 grams each size 4 (worsted weight) yarn in Dark Blue, Hot Pink, Sage Green
• 20 grams each size 4 (worsted weight) yarn in Medium Blue, Yellow, Red
• Scrap amounts size 4 yarn in White, Black Light Blue
• Crochet hook sizes H 5.00 mm, G 4.00 mm
• Tapestry needle
• Fiber Fill
• Stitch marker
• 2 x 1/2-inch black buttons ONLY if piece is being made for people over 3 years of age.

Notes
• Monster’s legs, body and head are worked in one piece, using 2 strands of yarn held together and larger hook
• Monster’s arms are worked separately with 2 strands of yarn held together and larger hook and sewn onto body.
• Monster is worked in continuous rounds from the bottom up.
• Monster’s, tummy, muzzle, eyes, nose and horns are worked separately and are sewn on. These pieces are worked with 1 strand yarn and smaller hook.
• The finished piece is approximately 8 inches tall.
