Positive ease varies between 2”-6” (5-10 cm) depending on size.

8ply yarn uses 2 (3, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11) balls of yarn with US3 (3.25mm) and US5 (3.75mm) needles at a gauge of 22 sts and 30 rows of St st over 4” (10cm) on US5 (3.75mm) needles.

10ply yarn uses 2 (3, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 12) balls of yarn with US6 (4mm) and US7 (4.5mm) needles at a gauge of 20 sts and 26 rows of St st over 4” (10cm) on US7 (4.5mm) needles.

14ply yarn uses 3 (4, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 12, 13) balls of yarn with US9 (5.5mm) and US10 (6mm) needles at a gauge of 14 sts and 20 rows of St st over 4” (10cm) on US10 (6mm) needles.
