This hooded vest has echoes of ancient monks, with the peaked hood and cabled braiding creeping up the front reminiscent of the book of Kells. Knit from the bottom up in one piece makes this garment very quick to finish.
This garment also makes a great man’s vest.

Needles & Notions
Size 7 US / 4.5 mm circular needle, 40inches / 100 cm long or longer for larger sizes
Size 7 US / 4.5 mm double pointed needles
Note: It may be necessary to have a second circ needle for picking up sts for front bands.

Stitch markers, stitch holder (spare needle/waste yarn can be used for large number of sts), tapestry needle, 11 toggle buttons approx 1.25 inches / 3cm long.
