Using self-striping yarn that is allowed to transition on its own makes a beautiful and unique hat. Only having two ends to weave in is an added bonus. Pattern uses the “Bean Stitch” to add pretty textured stripes to this beanie. --

• Written in US terms.

• Worked from the BOTTOM UP.

• Size: Adult.

• Any worsted weight yarn can be used with a size K hook.(Yarn thickness and individual tension will determine hat size.)

• (Approx. 140 - 148 yds.)

• For hat pictured, Hobbii Tea Time in #4 (Hibiscus) was used. Red Heart Roll With It Melange is almost identical to the Hobbii Tea Time and is also recommended. (Both of these yarns work up like a thicker 3 weight or thinner 4 weight, imo.)

• Hook size K. (6.5 mm)

• Measures approx. 20” in diameter x 8.5” in height.

• Pattern is rated INTERMEDIATE. (It involves WORKING in the 3rd LOOP and DECREASING in the 3rd LOOP of the previous row’s HDC.)
