Base: 28cm (11in) wide x 21cm (8¼in) deep
Height (base to top of bag): 42cm (16½in)
Circumference: 98cm (38½in)

“THIS BAG is worked in the mosaic
stitch, Yin and Yang, which gives a
tapestry-like texture contrasting well
with the ultra-smooth stocking stitch
this beautiful yarn accomplishes,”
says Judy Furlong. “Mosaic stitch is a
satisfying way to create an interesting
two-colour fabric.” The cords forming
the carrying straps and drawstring
may be purchased ready-made, but
instructions are given here to make
them from the same yarn as the bag,
so ensuring a perfect colour match.

If you choose to purchase the cords, then you only need 4 skeins of Colour B

Milla Mia Naturally Soft Merino
(Baby/sport weight; 100% merino wool;
125m/136yds per 50g ball)
A Storm (102); 5 x 50g balls
B Peacock (144); 5 x 50g balls (only 4 balls
required if using purchased cord instead of
making your own)

The pattern is knit flat for most of the pattern but is knit in the round along the top. If you choose to use straight needles, you will need circular (or dpns) for the top portion of the pattern.

pair 3.25mm (UK 10/US 3) knitting needles at least 36cm long, or circular needles to accommodate large number of stitches
1 pair 3mm (UK 11/US 2) knitting needles
1 set 3mm (UK 11/US 2) circular needles, 80cm long

Instructions for the mosaic pattern are written and charted.
