Nanny Square
We designed Nanny Square to celebrate the crochet high-holiday, Granny Square Day (August 15). It is currently exclusively available on our Ribblr account, but may become a downloadable pattern in our other shops if there is interest.
This pattern is a granny square duo -- including both head and tail motifs. It includes amigurumi elements, as well as 3 traditional granny stitch rounds. It is a quick and easy make suitable for advanced beginner crocheters.
The pattern calls for medium (4) yarn in 6 colors. We used Dishie Worsted (a 100% cotton yarn), but it may be worked in any similar weight yarn. If you are planning to incorporate the squares in clothing or blankets, you may want to choose an acrylic blend or softer fiber, as the amigurumi sections become quite stiff in Dishie.
You will need 3mm and 4.5mm hooks.
If you make a Nanny Square, we would love to see it! Tag us on insta @freddy_goat_crochet or email us a pic at info@freddygoat.com.
Lots o’ love and silliness,
Freddy Goat
